Follow the White Rabbit to an evening of vintage china, creative hatmaking and local shopping when Thompson Farm hosts its first Alice in Wonderland-themed tea party this month.
The Boujee Barn Alice in Wonderland Tea Party will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 28 at Thompson Farm, 290 Browning Drive in St. Pauls. Admission is $40 per person, and advance reservations are required.
Organizers plan to transform the Boujee Barn with decorations inspired by Lewis Carroll’s imaginative world of curious characters, unusual adventures and elaborate tea parties. The theme will carry through the evening as guests dine together using vintage china.
After dinner, attendees will create their own interpretation of one of the story’s most recognizable accessories. Each guest will embellish a Mad Hatter-inspired hat, combining the social atmosphere of a tea party with a hands-on craft activity. The event is also designed to encourage new connections. Guests are invited to attend with friends or meet other people while sharing a meal and participating in the evening’s activities.
Several small businesses are expected to set up pop-up booths inside the venue. Attendees will have an opportunity to shop while supporting local vendors before or after dinner and during breaks in the program.
