Not new to the neighborhood, but in a new and bigger location, Game On has moved from 560 N Reilly Rd. to its new home on Raeford Rd. (formerly Phat Daddy's Sports Bar & Grill). They not only sell anime, Dungeons and Dragons and other geek-related merchandise, they also have a cafe with drinks and snacks and offer space for customers to play their own Magic or other card games, D&D campaigns or board games.

Teriyaki Seafood Express offers a combination of teriyaki dishes and seafood selections, making it a great spot for fans of both Asian-inspired grilling and classic seafood preparations. They offer takeout, delivery, dine-in or curbside pickup options for your food order.

More businesses are set to join Jersey Mike's in the Dirtbag Plaza. Tropical Smoothie should be opening their doors by the end of November, and the BBQ Lad is scheduled to open this winter.

AROWANA SEAFOOD & RAMEN BAR

Arowana, a Chinese restaurant, opened its doors in June in Raeford's Stone Gate Plaza. The restaurant offers a cozy and elegant atmosphere, a menu that includes appetizers, entrees, cocktails and dessert.

HABIT BURGER & GRILL

Habit Burger & Grill opened their first location on Skibo Rd in front of Target in 2019. It is now scheduled to open a new location across from Jack Britt High School. They are expected to be open by the middle of December this year.

THE WAITING ROOM AT 106

The Waiting Room at 106 opened its door on Nov. 5. It is an intimate craft cocktail lounge located in Downtown Fayetteville. While not a full-service restaurant, they offer an appetizer menu geared to complement the cocktails they serve.

MI VIDA DULCE PALETERIA Y HELADERIA

This new shop opened in October and sells many of the sweet baked goods that are staples of Mexican bakeries, including Mexican sweet bread and pan dulce. They also sell bollillo, a sandwich roll that is very similar to a baguette, only smaller.

MR. COW

Mr. Cow is located in the Cross Creek Mall food court and offers bubble tea and Korean corndogs. Unlike American corn dogs, the batter is thicker, and fillings and outside toppings are customizable.

Keep an eye out for…
• Texas-based franchise Layne's Chicken Fingers may be opening a new store in Fayetteville.
• Biscuit Belly, a chain that specializes in brunch, is coming to Glensford Commons shopping center in spring 2026. It will share a new building with Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, a Chinese franchise, that is also set to open in Glensford Commons.
• The Cary-based Corbett's Burger & Soda Bar is looking to branch out to Fayetteville. Famous for their more than 250 soda flavors, they are hoping to put a franchise location here soon.
• Dutch Bros Coffee, an Arizona-based company, is looking to bring one of its shops to Raeford Rd. Plans are still being reviewed.
• Sandhills Gateway, on 7547 S. Raeford Rd., is set to be a 33,407 square foot development that will contain retail shops, cafes, and restaurants.
