The North Carolina Fall Festival, held Oct. 17, will bring together the Hoke County community in downtown Raeford. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Main Street will be filled with vendors and performers, all celebrating the Fall season. The featured performers are Rob Cole from The Voice and Elijah McCormick from American Idol.
The festival will be full of family-friendly events, a free kids’ corner, a free mechanical bull and over two hundred booths. Twenty-nine food trucks will be on hand for those hoping for tasty treats as they take in the festivities. Admission is free to the public.
Raeford is a small historic city, and celebrates community with festivals and free concerts throughout the year. The town’s unique name combines parts of the last names of two early settlers and business owners, John Rae and A.A. Wilford.
“We are excited for this year’s North Carolina Fall Festival and all that we have planned for our community. There is truly something for everyone, and we invite you to come and check us out,” said Melissa Crull, executive director of the festival. “Invite friends and enjoy the North Carolina Fall Festival and downtown Raeford. We cannot wait to welcome you and see you on Main Street!”
Fall focused activities will be happening the week before, with a parade held on the picturesque Raeford Main Street on Oct. 10. A golf tournament will be held Oct. 9, and Senior Bingo is available on Oct. 14.
