Costume season could come with a cash reward this Halloween at Group Therapy Pub and Playground, where The Witching Hour event will bring music, dancing and a $1,000 grand prize to Fayetteville.
The Halloween party is scheduled for 9 p.m. Oct. 31 until 2 a.m. at the entertainment venue at 1906 Skibo Road. The celebration falls on a Saturday, giving guests an evening to dress up, gather with friends and explore activities alongside the dance floor. Group Therapy limits admission to guests 18 and older after 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
DJ Don’t Come Ugly will provide music for the evening. Organizers also advertise themed drinks, Halloween vendors and a tarot card reader, adding several ways for guests to participate throughout the party.
The costume contest offers the night’s biggest incentive for creativity. First place will receive $1,000 in cash, while second place earns a $300 gift card and third place receives a $150 gift card. The advertised prizes give partygoers a reason to put extra thought into their Halloween appearance, whether they choose something frightening, funny or inspired by a favorite character.
Presale admission costs $10 and is available through Oct. 28. Admission at the door will be $20. A $30 VIP ticket includes miniature golf and one drink valued at up to $15. Miniature golf will also be offered for $10 during the event. Guests weighing the admission options can compare a basic party ticket with the package that includes those extras.
The Witching Hour builds on the venue’s combination of dining, drinks and recreation. Group Therapy’s regular attractions include 18 holes of indoor miniature golf, digital darts, axe throwing, duckpin bowling and a sports simulator. Its layout brings several kinds of entertainment into one location, allowing groups with different interests to spend an evening together.
The business also features a food menu, cocktails and a beer wall with 36 taps. Outside, an LED screen accommodates movies and other programming, while a covered playground serves younger visitors during appropriate hours. Its regular calendar includes karaoke, trivia, live music and gatherings for birthdays, workplace groups and other celebrations.
Halloween programming extends beyond the Oct. 31 party. Group Therapy’s October calendar includes seasonal movie screenings, horror movie trivia and a separate Kids Halloween Rave on Oct. 29. That event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and features DJ Rellez, dancing and a costume contest, with a $5 entry fee.
Those earlier activities offer other opportunities to celebrate before The Witching Hour takes over Saturday night. For the main party, the combination of a DJ, costume prizes and miniature golf places both dancing and friendly competition on the evening’s schedule.
Guests seeking information about admission, activities or venue policies can contact Group Therapy at 910-222-7574 or visit its website at https://www.grouptherapy.fun/fayetteville/. The business also posts event updates through its social media accounts.
With presale pricing ending Oct. 28, attendees have a deadline to consider while making their plans for Halloween night. The party begins three days later, on Halloween itself.
